Rental terms
Last updated 6 August 2026.
1. Supplier and contract
The rental is supplied by ErskineTech Ltd (SC559499), Paisley, trading through Starlink Scotland. A contract is formed only when payment succeeds and a booking confirmation is issued.
2. Equipment and rental period
The customer must use the supplied equipment only for the confirmed dates, location and lawful purpose. The kit remains ErskineTech's property and must not be sold, altered, opened, repaired or sublet.
3. Site requirements and performance
The customer is responsible for mains power, safe positioning, weather protection for non-outdoor components and a suitable view of the sky. Satellite performance is variable and no particular speed, latency or uninterrupted service is guaranteed.
4. Data options
The selected data package applies only to the booked kit and period. Priority-data options do not guarantee performance and may be affected by the underlying service, network management, location and conditions.
5. Delivery, collection and return
The customer must inspect the case on receipt, report obvious missing or damaged items promptly, follow the packing guide and return the complete kit using the agreed method by the due date.
6. Deposit, loss and damage
The security deposit is held against missing, damaged, excessively dirty or late-returned equipment. Any deduction will be explained and limited to the reasonable loss or cost incurred. The remaining balance will be refunded after inspection.
7. Cancellation and changes
Cancellation and date-change rights, deadlines and any charges shown during booking and in the confirmation apply alongside the customer's statutory rights. ErskineTech may cancel and refund a booking if equipment becomes unsafe, damaged or unavailable for reasons outside reasonable control.
8. Acceptable use
The connection must not be used unlawfully, to interfere with networks, to distribute harmful material or in a way that causes the underlying service to be suspended. The customer is responsible for users given access to the rental Wi-Fi.
9. Support and larger networks
Rental support covers the supplied equipment and basic setup. Venue-wide Wi-Fi, critical payment systems, engineered redundancy and on-site support require a separately designed service.
10. Liability and rights
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits statutory consumer rights. Business customers remain responsible for their own continuity plans and consequential operational decisions.
